Tidal Inventiveness
Tidal changes from hour to hour yield new and creative opportunities for capturing the Maine Coastline. With a tidal change of +/- 11ft. twice daily, coastal elements appear and disappear constantly, drastically altering the landscape while erasing and creating points of egress along the shoreline. This project captures the Maine Coastline at varying points of tidal shift...from spotted tide pool formations to crashing rocks along the Marginal Way.
